About Slate

Slate operates an Asia Pacific-wide Human Capital Consulting business and helps progressive global companies build successful businesses through introducing them to leading job seekers. It was founded and has its headquarters in Akasaka, Tokyo.

Slate has grown progressively thanks to the strong partnership between its professional consultants, hiring companies and high-level job seekers. Slate is a full-fledged firm covering searches in six main areas, including IT/MIS, Life Sciences, Industrial, Finance, Accountancy and Fast Moving Consumer Goods. Slate employs more than 60 professionals, drawing from many corners of the world.

Practice Groups

Every Slate professional belongs to an industry or functional Practice Group according to their knowledge, expertise and passion. Through these practices, we pool our sector and candidate knowledge and conduct focused research on the respective industries across geographical borders.

We also recognize that job descriptions and requirements don’t always fall into simple categories. Corporate compliance, Internet strategies and human resource requirements, for example, mean that job definitions and concepts are shifting. At Slate, we are constantly moving, too. Search Strategy

We carry out in-depth consultations with our clients to evaluate their needs and determine the best approach to meeting their requirements. We target the key factors surrounding these requirements and build up a thorough understanding of the position details and necessary qualifications involved, as well as the client’s position in the market place and corporate culture.

Once we’ve developed a position profile, we define the search area and target sectors before focusing on specific companies and seeking out the ideal candidate for the post.
